The New Gidget is an American sitcom aired in syndication from 1986 to 1988. The series was launched after the 1985 television film Gidget's Summer Reunion, starring Caryn Richman, who would go on to reprise the role of Gidget in the series.Once free spirited, Gidget is in her late twenties and now married to her idol Jeff 'Moondoggie' Griffin.
